Different Atlas Progression Paths

After entering an Atlas, our Atlas Tree progress is mainly divided into two core directions, with different priorities:

Main Atlas Points

How to unlock main Atlas points?

After entering an Atlas, the main storyline will guide you through Doryani questline. Please note that Precursor Towers will appear on the map at any time.

Clear Precursor Towers

After completing Towers, a massive city will rise in the center of the map. This is the main area for earning Atlas points. Inside the city, you earn +1 point for each normal map completed, and +3 points for each Precursor Tower completed.

Defeat Arbiter of Ash

Proceed along the questline to The Burning Monolith. Two side quests will trigger, requiring you to travel to Eastern Gateway and Western Gateway, respectively.

Upon entering Western Gateway, rush to Western Enigma Chamber. This is essentially a Citadel boss fight, similar to the one in the previous game. The other side is the same.

Once Citadel bosses on both the east and west sides are defeated, return to The Burning Monolith to unlock the first phase of the pinnacle boss fight – against Arbiter of Ash.

Complete Arbiter of Divinity boss fight

Once you defeat Arbiter of Ash, the deepest part of the city will unlock. The same applies here; heading to Origin Tower will give you a new quest to collect Origin Sparks from The Patriarch Halls and The Matriarch Halls. Defeating these two gatekeeper bosses will lead you to the true last boss of PoE 2 0.5.0 Atlas – Arbiter of Divinity.

To accumulate 311 Atlas points without grinding, you need to defeat Arbiter of Divinity 5 times.

Of course, you can choose to force yourself to complete the remaining 100+ maps in the city one by one after defeating Arbiter of Divinity once. However, this is extremely inefficient, and IGGM.com does not recommend doing so.

How to advance League Mechanic points?

When you first encounter and complete a league mechanic on a regular map, the fog on Atlas will clear, directly revealing the mechanic’s dedicated major base. Simply go to that area and complete a few dedicated maps to instantly obtain all the points for that mechanic.

Atlas Tree Strategies

While the entire skill tree can be fully unlocked, most exiles lack Path of Exile 2 currency and gear in the early game. Therefore, mastering a simple and efficient skill strategy when progressing through the Atlas Tree will make the entire early game much smoother.

First, it’s recommended to prioritize unlocking Essence and Shrines. These nodes offer stable benefits during the early game, and Shrines significantly improve the enjoyment and safety of map clearing.

Next, enter Rare in Atlas tree search bar to unlock all nodes that increase the number of rare monsters and monster affix drops. Then search for Tablet and unlock all nodes that increase the number and rarity of Tablets. Rare monsters and Tablets have map-wide effects, maximizing your base benefits.

Finally, unlock the nodes related to the city in the central Atlas tree. While important, you won’t be clearing maps in the city during the early game, so you can save the nodes for the central city area for last.
